Anna Wintour was born on November 3, 1949 in Great Britain. She is the daughter of Charles Wintour, the editor of Evening Standard, and Eleanor Baker, a daughter of a Harvard University professor. She went to North London Collegiate School, where she frequently rebelled against the dress code because of the length of her skirt. She dropped out of school during the last month of graduating high school and never went to college. Because of her family's good connections, she got her first job at the Biba boutique, which was an influential boutique in London at that time. After, she went to a training program at Harrods, at her parent's behest, she went to fashion school near Harrods.
